The Art & Culture Department in the district function as Nodal agency for the promotion
preservation ,development of age old culture heritage and tradition of various tribal
group of the people of the district. The department is trying to conserve and preserve
their folk lore, Folk Songs, Dance in their original and traditional forms.

District Research Office, Seppa is a small unit started from 1988. The
main function of the department is to collection and preservation of data on the
local tribal culture by preparing monograph, books report etc. and with a small
ethnographic museum with a collection of 146 Nos of specimens.

The District Library is the apex body of all sister libraries of the District . The
District Library & Information Officer is responsible for the Library
services in the District. District Library & Information Officer is the
District head of Public Libraries. Lending service and reading room facilities
are offered to the reader, members as well as casual visitors. Reference section
is there for reference queries out of limited stock present in the library. The
