The aim and objective of DIC is to provide all services and facilities to small
scale, tiny and cottage industries under single roof concept. Following are the various developmental

Textile and Handicraft
The Textile and Handicrafts Deptt has been bifurcated from the Department of Industries in July
1999 and now this Deptt has been entrusted with the following developmental/welfare Schemes
for the socio-economic development for local tribal people of the district:
- Training Programme on Handloom and Handicrafts
- Extended Employment Production Scheme
- Subsidy Scheme
- Emporium Scheme
- Sericulture Scheme
