DC VISIT TO BAMENG
Seppa Nov 27,2014:The East Kameng DC Sandeep Kumar Singh along with HODs visited Bameng, newly upgraded ADC HQ, yesterday following the complaints lodged by Bameng Town peopleís forum stating that none of the Govt. staffs posted, stay at Bameng barring the teachers. Taking cognizance of the complaints, DC had also served notice to as many as 56 staffs of various departments along with pay held up with clear cut directives to stay at Bameng in the interest of the public. ††
DC Sandeep Kr. Singh while addressing the public & Staffs at Bameng directed all the Govt. officers posted at Bameng to stay at their station with prior permission from ADC incase of leaving station on leave. In absence of ADC on leave, charge of ADC should be delegated to one senior officers of other department so those public donít suffer, he added. Taking note of the accommodation problems, he suggested them to stay together with adjustment. He informed that ST/PRC applications & forms shall be issued by ADC and ST/PRC shall be provided by Bameng ADC within two weeks. Further, he gave a clear cut massage to public that they need to change the mindset of dependency from the Govt. as Govt. canít provide employment to all with its limited resources. He suggested them to take up agriculture, horticulture & allied activities for sustainable source of income & self reliance. He also appealed the youth to live in their village & make use of the available land. He asked them to stay away from addiction & engaged in gainful activities. He directed the GBS to assist the administration in the maintenance of Law & order.
Responding the issues of Pakke to Bameng road, JE RDW informed that the said PMGSY road had already been tendered 6 years ago with two contractors already left in the process & now, a local contractor have been awarded and the construction works in yet to start.
SP Apang Tamut informed that police personnel have been deployed at Bameng under the command of ADC as there is no police station. It has already been forwarded to the state Govt. for C-Class police station, he added.
Later, DC along with the team visited Govt. High School Bameng , Health centre run by NGO Karuna Trust & KGVB School.
While addressing the students of KGVB, DC said educate one girl child means educate a whole family. He advised them not to kill their skills or potentials by early marriage. He assured to take up the demands of the schools in the nature of infrastructural development from the next financial on priority. DIPRO Seppa
